CLIMATE CHANGE: OUR PLANET AS A PRIORITY

The climate started changing a long time ago due to human activities but we came to know about it in the last century. During the last century, we started noticing the climatic change and its effect on human life. It refers to the change in the environmental conditions of the earth. This happens due to many internal and external factors. Besides, these climatic changes affect life on the earth in various ways, having various impacts on the ecosystem and ecology, the ocean level is rising, glaciers are melting, forest and wildlife are declining, and water life is also getting disturbed due to climatic changes. Scientists estimate that 150-200 species of plant, insect, and bird become extinct every 24 hours. This is nearly 1,000 times the natural or background rate. It is greater than anything the world has experienced since the vanishing of the dinosaurs nearly 65 million years ago. Experts agree that the Industrial Revolution was the turning point when emissions of greenhouse effect gasses entering the atmosphere began to soar. The Industrial Revolution was itself born out of smaller revolutions: agricultural, technological, demographic, transport, finance, creating a new model of production and consumption.

We must end animal agriculture and reforest the Earth to bring down the atmospheric carbon content. Animal agriculture is also the number one source of ocean dead zones as fertilizers eventually find their way into our waterways, further damaging the environment. Apart from that, it is calculated that if this change keeps on going then many species of plants and animals will get extinct

We must all know by now that the temperature of earth has gotten warmer by one degree Celsius. Although it looks small in number now but the consequences it has are massive. It is so because the amount of energy we need to augment this temperature even by one degree Celsius is huge. This extra energy is equivalent to force-feeding our climate system. If we do not do anything and things continue to go on like right now then a day in future will come when humans will become extinct from the surface of the earth. But instead of neglecting these problems we start acting on then we can save the earth and our future.

We must look for and support projects that help reduce our contribution to global warming, but we need to do more than that. As I said before, we need to also find solutions to DECREASING what we have already created. In conclusion, we need to take part and try to stop global warming and other effects on climate change. If the earth’s temperatures continue to rise in the future, living things on earth would become extinct due to the high temperatures. If humans contribute to control global warming, this world would be cooler and the high temperatures we currently have would decrease. If everybody as one take stand and try to end most of the climate changes that are occurring, this world would be a safer place to live on.
